Now, a lot of people choose to cut their hair short before they go travelling. I see where they are coming from, it’s convenient and one less thing to worry about. However, I’m not the kind of girl that can pull off super short hair and to be honest I love having long hair. So, I have made a list of items to convince you that travelling with long hair can be convenient too. You will need one of each of the following.
3 Perfect Hair Products for Travelling
- This Sweet Pear Tangle Tamer is a life saver. If, like me, you have a lot of hair that loves to whip itself into nest-like structures then you NEED this product. I’m not being paid by L’oreal to push sales here. It genuinely works and everyone should know about it’s magical powers. Yes, it is designed for kids that can’t deal with having their hair brushed, but adults have sensitive scalps too. If I didn’t have this product in my life there would have been many occasions upon which the mass of knots underneath my hair would have left me traumatised, curled up in the foetal position crying. Literally spray this onto dry hair, start to brush and voila! No more tangles, no more tears!
Not just for kids! - Now, here we have the wide toothed shower comb complete with convenient built in shower hook. My sister gave this to me as part of my Christmas present some years ago. At the time I was not impressed. However, I have since learnt the error of my ways. This contraption is simple but splendid. Basically once you’ve lathered up your lovely locks in conditioner this magical comb will slide through your hair with ease, untangling any knots as it goes.
Couples that comb together, roam together. - Last but not least, Urban Fudge Miracle Ends. Ok, now I must admit, I was originally drawn to this product because it smells like Summer adventures on the beach. HOWEVER, it is also the perfect product to use on dry, wind-swept hair after a day at the beach. Basically, when you don’t have time to condition your hair, this is super handy. All you need to do is rub a small blob between your hands and then run your hands over the dry/damaged parts of your hair. You will then smell like a tropical paradise and your hair will feel silky smooth. Convenient!

Go forth and have wonderful travel-hair, long or short!
Hahaha yes!! The shower comb. Love it. I mostly just use that and don’t brush my hair otherwise. Especially on holidays when your scalp get burnt and your hair gets maTted with sweat/salt water. Very helpful post 🙂
L’oreal’s hair products are too good use.
