Travel Resources
People always ask me what tools I use to find the best flights, holidays, and travel deals in general. So I decided to put together my ultimate list of travel resources AND travel gear. So make sure to bookmark this page for referencing next time you decide to book a trip/hotel/car etc. I’ll be updating it regularly with discount codes that companies send me, special offers and new discoveries. So make sure to check it regularly. Or, if you haven’t already, make sure to sign up to my mailing list so that you can can get travel discounts/special offer, insider tips and more about me directly into your inbox! I’ve included a video at the end which details how I manage to travel comfortably while not spending a TONNE of money. I originally recorded it for a digital conference, but now that the conference is over I thought I’d make it public to all of you. You can skip past the first minute or two of me introducing myself and how I started blogging.

FLIGHTS

SECRET FLYING
This website is absolutely incredible for error fares and mind-boggling flight bargains! You need to check it out. If you’re not sure where you want to go it’s great for inspiration too.
SKYSCANNER
Skyscanner’s “everywhere” and “chepeast month” tools are my FAVOURITE things in the travel world. I just booked a €360 round trip from Dublin to Denver, Colorado with British Airways, with only one stop in London. AMAZING. Links below 🙂
Skyscanner (UK)
Skyscanner (IRE)
MOMONDO
I’ve sometimes found flights cheaper on Momondo than Skyscanner, so I had to include it. It’s another flight search engine that will then direct you to the booking site. Link below!
EMIRATES
Definitely one of my favourite airlines. Extremely comfortable for economy class, with twinkling starlights in the ceiling. If you live in the UK they have a credit card for earning miles, you need to be all over that if you’re a frequent flyer!
QATAR
The world’s BEST airline according to SKYTRAX 2017. I’ve actually never flown with them (I’ll have to change that in 2018) but my boyfriend is obsessed with them, so they’ve got to be included. Link below 🙂
VIRGIN ATLANTIC
Who doesn’t love Virgin?! Richard Branson is a bit of a legend. I’ve flown with them all over the place. I particularly remember loving them when I was a kid because of the kiddie meals they gave out at the time.
AIR FRANCE-KLM
Air France-KLM have an absolutley HUGE worldwide network and are one of the only airlines left in Europe that still give you free food on short haul flights. Needless to say, I’m a fan.
HOLIDAYS/TOURS

OK, so there’s SO many amazing holiday websites all for different demographics or types of holiday that I’m not going to go through them all individually. BUT the links are all listed below. G Adventures, Contiki and Intrepid are more adventurous options. Contiki and Intrepid are mainly for a younger crowd. G Adventures are a more expensive, luxurious option for an adventure holiday. First Choice are all about luxury and all inclusive. TravelZoo and Lastminute are great for deals. TUI are great for family/couple holidays and R&R.
G Adventures (I used these for my trip to South America)
TourRadar (Great sales on ATM with lots of discounts)
TUI Holiday (IE link) (I went to Ibiza with TUI and it was amazing!)
ACCOMMODATION

When it comes to accommodation, I prefer to stay in unique, funky hotels, AirBnBs or glamping. I love a funky, modern hostel too if there’s a private room and I feel like being social. Below are some of my favourite sites for accommodation.
Booking.com – (Get £20 off your next hotel stay here! I use them all the time.)
AirBnB (Get £31/€35 off your first stay with AirBNB)
ATTRACTIONS/TICKETS

Get Your Guide is my favourite site for booking holiday activities on the ground. They have great deals on skipping the queue to places like Euro Disney, the Guinness Storehouse and more. Have a look!
CAR RENTAL/PARKING

I got the most RIDICULOUS deal with Avis when I was in Canada last year. I booked a car for 4 weeks and it was only a few hundred pounds. It takes a bit of looking sometimes, but they usually have great deals on there.
TRANSPORT
I’ll be adding to this section as I discover new sites.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel insurance is an absolute must while you’re away from home.
TRAVEL TECH

Here’s all the gadgets and tech that make my life easier while I’m on the road.
iKross Adaptable Tripod (I love this because it’s compact, durable, and super cheap)
Portable Charger (this one gives about 5-6 charges for a Samsung phone per charge)
Travel Adapter (SO handy for when you’re travelling to multiple countries)
TomTom Action Camera (I use this for all my under water photos)
Samsung S8 Phone (I take nearly all of my photos and videos on my phone)
Zhiyun Smooth Q3 Gimbal Stabilizer (If you make video on your phone then this will make them smooth and get rid of the shake from your hands)
DJI Mavic Pro (I have yet to invest in stunning and portable little drone this but it’s on my Christmas wish list for sure)
Kindle (beats having to haul books around on a long trip, but I still prefer real books for a short trip)
SONY Noise-Cancelling Headphones (So good for a long flight, I love my bright pink ones)
Travel Speakers (Always good for an impromptu beach party)
TRAVEL GEAR/PACKING
Try to pack light. But if you need to shop for new clothes or seasonal items then these are some of my favourite sites that have great online offers.
GEAR
Packing Cubes (These are SO handy for keeping things separated and organised)
Head Torch (Because you never know when you might need it. Camping, power outage etc)
Compeed Blister Plasters (Absolute life savers. They are like a second skin! Great if you’re doing a lot of hiking)
Travel Diary (Reading back on these is amazing. Things you’d completely forgotten come rushing back!)
Travel Lock (Because, well, the world has to EARN your trust!)
CLOTHES FOR TRAVELLING

There so many great outdoor brands for getting the essentials like hiking boots and a great waterproof jacket. But honestly, most of my time travelling is spent in regular everyday clothes. So I’ve put together a list for you of some of my favourite online retailers where I get all my bits and pieces for travelling.
