*Before you start reading my amazing, hilarious & extremely pretty article, I’ve just got to let you know that Trespass sent me some of these clothes as a gift. But all of the views expressed in this article are, as always, my own.
Ok, so as you may have noticed from my photos from my most recent trip to Finland, I LOVE COLOUR. But so often I walk into an outdoor/adventure store and am faced with a wall of dark, style-devoid, depression. All those khaki zip off pants and sandal/walking boot combo THINGS make me shiver with horror. WHO WEARS THESE?! I hope to GOD they are not aimed at my age group.
There are VERY few outdoor brands who make pretty, colourful outdoor gear that is also functional. And then when you do find them the price-tag usually comes along and rains all over your parade. BUT, I found a brand that is reasonably priced, has quite a lot of colour AND the gear is totally functional; Trespass. Oh, you don’t believe me? Well, let me show you. I went a bit overboard and had a full on photoshoot, haha.
Colourful Outdoor Gear – The Photoshoot
Cruagh Wood
Cruagh Wood is up in the Dublin Mountains in Ireland. It’s the kind of place I go for walks with my friends and family at the weekend. For some reason I always feel the need to go up there in the winter. There’s something about the mix of colours at that time of year.
A lot of people walk their dogs up in Cruagh Wood and nearly all of them are off the leash. So if you’re scared of dogs, this probably isn’t the spot for you. Be careful with your dog too, he/she might be completely friendly, but not every dog up there will be. There’s no “facilities” up on the paths, so you’ll just have to choose a bush if nature calls. But it’s all worth it for the gorgeous views over Dublin from the top. Take a look!

Outfit Details – Colourful Outdoor Gear From Trespass
OK, bear with me, this is my first official outfit post so I’m not 100% sure on how these go. I’ll try my best. My whole focus when taking photos and when being in photos is COLOUR. So when I choose my clothes for travelling and projects I try to pick bright, colourful and not overly patterned pieces. Most of my clothes for this colourful outdoor gear look were from Tresspass.
Hat – Small local shop in the town of Piran, Slovenia. This is my favourite hat for photos. It’s so bright and fluffy!
Jacket – Trespass . I LOVE this coat. It’s a proper ski-jacket with internal pockets and those funny zips in the armpits so you don’t overheat. Of course, the colour was a big selling point for me too. I will say that the sizes run a bit small so I’d probably go one up from your normal.
Gloves – Trespass . These gloves are soooo warm. They are Thinsulate gloves so they kept my hands nice and warm up on that freezing hilltop. Mainly I just loved the pink colour.
Wellies – Trespass . Who doesn’t need pink wellies in their life? I haven’t owned a pair of wellies in years and I kept meaning to get a pair. These were great, not a damp sock in sight and I was jumping in plenty of puddles.
Annnndd I doubt anyone cares where I got my non-descript leggings, hahaha. That probably isn’t what I’m supposed to say in outfit posts. OH WELL!
What did you think? Do you love colourful outdoor gear?
Should I do more outfit posts? LET ME KNOW IN COMMENTS!
